Does the PKD-1 fit in the C&S holster (http://props.steinschneider.com/brblaster/csholster.htm) well? (or does it take a lot of modifications/not work well at all? I have like no skill with this kinda thing, so if it works good, thats probably the route I'll go.

I've only ever seen Kovach's metal hero gun used in one of these, and it's actually too wide. The holster doesn't close back in on itself all the way. I have video of this if you're interested.
In theory I supposed it should fit, but I do know the PKD-1 is a bit bigger than the real deal.
And I'm not sure Rick's kit are really made for holster use. Perhaps if you screw it together (plus use glue) and use a metal trigger guard. I don't think the resin trigger guard would stand up to repeated holstering.
That sounds funny.

It'd seem to me that the cylinder cover and the laser pointer would have more chance of breaking off than the trigger guard with that holster design. _________________

What about the Offworld piece? Would that one fit Phil's holster without issue? Anyone done that particular combo yet? |

FWI...I took the green LED rod off of my Offworld in order to take it in and out of my holster without it getting caught when putting it in the holster.

The PKD 2 is similar in size to the Coyle C&S guns, but the PKD 1 is a bit bigger. Phil even states in his site that the PKD 2 will fit in his holster. |

I was thinking in terms of the resin trigger guard sticking out as it does, and on rick's model the trigger guards are not quite as thick as Rich's. Just seems like they'd snap off eventually with repeated use if you're at conventions, or running around the set of a fan film or something.
But yes, you're right the sight rod would also probably snap off. The cylinder cover could be screwed down though (on the PKD-1)
But for display, the gun will be displayed in holster, you can probably safely slide the blaster in and out of the holster easily enough. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |
