That seller would get WAY more interest if he said what it was, or better yet, included a screencap of the item in the auction. Confused

Is it the hydraulics in the spinner?

Laughing

Seriously - lookie here:

http://www.propstore.com/products.htm?movieIdForm=227&productsKeywordSearchform=&pageNum=&show_all_items_form=&isSubmitSearch=0&isNewAdditions=0&isArchive=0&categoryIdForm=0&genreIdForm=0&productsSortType=0&recordsPerPage=15

There used to be a modest selection of recognizable props, but since the Final Cut came out, it's mighty slim pickin's at the PSOL.

I saw those BR props on propstore the other week - LOL - what is the point in those - they aren't exactly a memorible item that you can say, yes I remember seeing that in the film!!!

Maybe a prop from the "animal row" where Deckard shows the snake scale to an old woman ? (As it looks half rusted on some parts of the "top", I supposed it was displayed in a rainy place during the shooting...)

At last! I can finally finish my collection off with a Spinner Vehicle Bulkhead Filler Panel! At only $159, it's a steal! Rolling Eyes Laughing

The Prop Store of London is just plain crazy. They must have a pile of junk just sitting there waiting for the occasional sucker.

It sounds to me like a piece of art that the artist called 'blade runner'. i don't think it has anything to do with the movie though.

At first I thought it was the umbrellas then maybe a lamp. It sounds like it came from a prop house looking at all the other auctions this seller had. Some prop houses keep labels with the films a prop has been used on. I guess I should have just asked the seller, but I have been slacking lately because I only have about an hour a day to go online right now. No excuses, I suck Wink, but I did think this would be a fun guessing game anyway.

I don't think he stating it's an original prop but that it's art based on Blade Runner. Whatever it is, the wording in the auction is extremely vague - purposely I'd imagine.

$1,900 though?
I wouldn't pay 19 Cents for it...

Hehehe those are pieces that BE got out of the spinner when it was being restored. I wondered what he had done with them, now I know.......

I dunno... I think this is my favorite:

Spinner Vehicle Wiring Harness - Prop Store of London

Do you think we could replicate this prop? Looks pretty tough to me!

I think I have seen that wiring in a few other movies as well. Could have a good history behind it.

Given the proper time and funding, I think I could replicate it though.

I will start working up figures! I think I can also offer a kit at a fraction of the cost of a completed replica as well.

Right now, I am thinking, without any research:

Kit: $8.00
Kit w/ roll of Electrical Tape: $25.00
Kit with wires prepainted to match colors: $89.00 (does not include electrical tape)

Completed Replica: $369.00

The hard part is matching the paint on the wires.
As it is right now, wires are only offered in black, so I will have to match the white, red, yellow, blue, and brown wires with the appropriate paints.

When I have time, I will do actual research to see what I can come up with. Though, I imagine my prices will probably increase.

Laughing

Tom
