After announcing the sale of her first book here, my wife asked me this morning if I had mentioned to you all that her second novel has now been bought (about 3 weeks ago). I got a nasty look and a "You don't love me" when I confessed that I hadn't, so I'm here to rectify the situation.

After a year of writing and rewriting, my wife has sold her second novel, a YA Vampire book entitled Vamped. It's the story of Gina, the big-haired girl with the reputation that we all knew in high school (at least those of us who grew up in the 80's), who gets turned into a vampire after a Prom Night make-out session with the class chess champ.

It'll be released sometime in 2009. As with her first book (Playing Nice), I'm exceedingly proud of her and recommend it (when it comes out) to any of you with tweens, teens or just enjoy a good, funny vampire story.

HEY, that's terriffic! Congratulations on both counts.

What's the name she writes under? I'll pick the books up to show some support!

Thanks, Noeland.

Her first novel was published under the pseudonym Kit Daniels. It was released by a small publisher whose main aim is the library market, so it's not generally available at your local bookstore. However, it is available at Amazon.com (Barnes & Noble.com is apparently out of stock).

Her new book will be released under her real name, Lucienne Diver.

Pete.

That is awesome! I am extremely thrilled for your wife and you and will do my part to support your family by picking this up when released.

Let us know the release date when you can.

Congratulations!

Tom

Congratulations to her. I know how hard it can be to get something published (no matter how well written). Getting two novels out there is just great. I know a bunch of people who enjoy a good vampire story -- I'll pass along the titles to them.
