Two things, one the ammo housing and clip are indeed plastic.

Two the trigger guard was NOT cast from the Styer guard, it lacks the rib of the real one, or that was sanded off.

I think they made it.

Good work looks like your doing this one all by your self, which I say, best to you.

Rich

Here are the images of the letf side cover. I spent more time with my new Nikon coolpix S10 so I made more clear images. I think that this parts will be defitively, the one that will be casted. Now I hope to made it as closed as possible. Before I start to cast it please let me know if this is an acceptable work.

Thank you

Hi Siderio,

Looking at the WorldCon pics vs what you have crafted, I am absolutely thrilled!

The only thing I might ask is if the lines outlining the center of the side piece could be sharper. If not, it is no big deal, they just look sharper on the WorldCon gun. This could also be do to the picture and not the actual model.

I outlined it in red below. I apologize for my crappy outlining

Otherwise, thank you for the update and the work.

Tom

Dear amish,

Please try to give a more right image. Please spend more time to do that. So i will able to understand my wrogn point of view. This is not a critics. so please try to give us a more defined lines. Then I will make more images because they are not took, probably, from a right angle of view. If you say it is wrong I will be more that glad to make it more better. This is one of the important parts on a New blaster so if I can make better I have no problem I will go on to work on it to obtain a correct shape. So please help me to understand wath you mean because from your caotics red line I am not able to identified my mistake.

Thanks for your help
Siderio.

I don't want to be ateacher but for me you have to start to work from the images that was taken from a perpendiculary point o view. If you need I can make more images. Dear karl please, as you make the images let me know with appoximations wath angle I have to take the image so Amish and other collectors can help us to say wath is better to change.

Thanks again
Siderio.

If it is ok, I will repsond tomorrow morning as I am short on time now. Please know that your model is looking great, I only had a small suggestion.

I will try and be more detailed tomorrow.

Thanks for listening!

How odd that my name came up in this thread in a kind of random sideways way. Very Happy

I am very glad to see you all are approaching this the right way, fantastic work!

Keep in mind that in comparison with previous versions not only should the grip be larger, but the angle and proximity to the cylinder housing need to be watched. i.e. (I hope Eagle doesn't mind, I originally posted this over at the RPF):

http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/824/pvsc2rt1.jpg

(Oh, so that's Eagle at the RPF's photo of a recent uh, non-Siderio version, with the prop overlaid in green.)

Oh, and in duplicating photographs, distance is important as well as angle. Angle can be matched by watching the perspective change on different parts of the gun, i.e. you see part of the backstrap on the grip but the front of the receiver is seen slightly from behind, etc.

Keep up the good work guys, you are taking the high road, well done. Smile

Oh, while we're at it, here's the comparison I posted in the comparison thread last year. This photo was very carefully matched in angle and distance. This is a 'pre-Worldcon' version, again with the prop overlaid in green.

Serafino, great stuff!!!

Siderio,

This picture below is what I am trying to say. The edges where they curl over making the detail on the sidecover look softer on your model.

I think your work is fantastic, I just noticed this one thing and I may be wrong as I am not skilled like you are.

Here are some new images of the side cover. Sorry for the light reflection that don't give the real things. Let me know wath you think about it.

Looks good to me... Though I thought the first version looked good, too, so clearly my attention to detail leaves something to be desired. Smile
