I've been getting more requests for "status" on the Blade Runner money I made a while back, so I finally got off my butt and finished the bill art. Printed on linen-based paper, soon to be sporting metallic foils (I need to do the foil application this weekend). Each bill requires four passes through two different printers, and then foil, hand trimming, and THEN "hand cancel" stamps and weathering... halfway there now! I'll post the final results this weekend... busy adding a few fun twists, of course! I've made a "Bank Envelope" and am working on a deposit/withdrawal receipt. I sourced a paper for the envelope that feels like that crappy paper that banks use, too... so the money feels "gritty" like some real money does when you rub it against other bills, and the envelope also feels like it's supposed to.

Yeah, why not Smile

So I decided to make 2 versions per "set" for when I offer 'em up - weathered linen notes and crisp new smooth notes. The smooth stock will showcase the art and foil better, and the weathered notes will look and feel more "real" and will have stamped "hand cancel" marks on them! Adding foil to a pebbled or rough surface is not optimal, and weathering hides these sins... so this will be the best of both worlds.

The weathered test is in progress:

Yep. I'd lay down some money for your money.
Great job! How are you getting the foiled stamping/ printing effect? I'd like to add it to some other BR paper prop ideas I have brewing.....

Was there ever an update on the status of these bills? Love 'em. Gotta add a set to my BR collection. Now that I've got a whiskey bottle to hold 'em down and all.. Wink
