Who's the model?

http://www.abbyshot.com/products/ps-deckard-trench.php?PHPSESSID=204ef5571373fb5abaf659667a8885d0

I wonder if that's a sid or a coyle he's packing there . . .

I still don't like the top-stiched collar or the color for that matter...
Does this answer your other question? It appears a little farther down the article.

Agreed, and agreed.
Thanks to the ultra-talented Megan, I own one of a very small number of what I shall call the "Ultimate Deckard" coats! Smile

I'm was the model... and the photographer.
(Actually, the credit should go to my wife Renee!)

And I gotta tell you all- the quality of this coat is impeccable.
Color? Believe me, when it's wet, it's a whole lot darker. (Of course, soaking it down for the shoot would have misrepresented it.)

I also have a version 1.0 with the zip-out lining and ultra-waterproof fabric. Yes, it's less accurate, but fantastically practical for everyday wear.

That is the truth, get this thing in the rain for a bit and it looks much better. Of course it doesn't keep the rain out as much as the 1.0 does.

For an off the rack model based on the film coat its great, but the attention to detail in the Rachael coat is on a whole different level.

I can't say for sure, but I got the impression that Abbyshot didn't expect to sell as many of these as they did with their matrix coats, and as such didn't put as much attention to detail into it. I have two of their lobby coats, both custom measurements and they are spot on to what you see onscreen. Granted the matrix coats are considerably simpler in terms of the pattern and design.

Hey thanks for posting. I bet that shoot was a blast. I was hoping it was a member here!! I'd love to see some pictures of the coat in the rain, but understand.

And I don't know how the hell I missed that bit about the blaster. Hahahaha.

Shocked

I'm seriously considering picking this up as a birthday gift to myself. Abbeyshot has a great reputation for quality. A friend of mine has the Vash coat, and it's like wearing around a luxury car. It's just that nice.

QuasiOdo,

Fun photos. I like the hotel/apartment scene particularly. Hope you don't mind, but I was having some fun with this one. It needed a dead replicant.

OK, I was really bored. New on FOX this season, because there isn't going to be anything better to watch!

And now for a different illustrated story feel... I can't stop. But I will. I'm hungry. Is anyone else hungry?

Does anyone here actually own one of these? My problem is that I have to get larger sizes as my shoulders are broad. As a result I end up getting something sized for someone who is overweight as the clothing maker just assumes someone big is also fat. I would hate to buy one and have it fit like a bedsheet.

I should have saved all my old '80's clothes for a BR costume. A lot of clothes back then looked like they were inspired by the movie.

Is that the version 1 or the 2?

Spinner, you ROCK!!!
I friggin' love it!
And you know, I can just SEE them doing a series eventually.

Now it's my turn:

Someone told me they saw my pic on the homepage of SciFi.com recently- I assume in conjunction with Abbyshot. (I hope.)
Guess I'm the last to know about that one!
