I'd love to see a BR game in a GTA third person style. Maybe a MMO like City of Heroes/Villains, where you can wander around doing what you like, if you want, or participate in solo or team missions. Three character classes: Cop, Little People or Skin Job. |

While not a BR game per se, there is a Half Life 2-based Cyberpunk mod that is supposed to be very enjoyable (haven't tried it myself yet): http://www.dystopia-game.com/ |

Well, in the realm of real RPGs i.e pen&paper , "Cyberpunk" was a good and easy system to adapt to BR.
BTW, while Cyberpunk did not predate DADoES, it does predate BR. I remember reading Johnny Mnemonic before BR came out.

I just picked up BioShock a couple days ago, and my very first impression when I started playing it was how much of a Blade Runner look and feel it had... art deco design everywhere... areas of total darkness, and of smoke and haze... shafts of light shining through and areas totally lit up by tons of neon. Cigs and booze all over the place... background music reminding me of the style/era of "One more kiss, dear"... visually it's a beautiful game! It does take a lot of computing horsepower though! For those of you who haven't seen it, the setting is in a 'utopian' city built on the floor of the ocean... I could definately see someone doing a BR mod for it if they ever put out an editor for it... _________________ Fiery the angles fell, deep thunder rolled around their shores, burning with the fires of Orc. |

They actually used the Inkspots 'If I didn't care' in that game, which was on the BR soundtrack before they went with 'One More Kiss Dear'. Good game, but went on a tad too long in my opinion.
I always wanted to do a BR mod for Deus EX since it offered so much freedom of choice. _________________

The whole Talsorian Fuzion system can be adapted easily to BR as can the the older Hero system. Fuzion is sometimes available on eBay.
Also, not long ago, I met a game designer named Simon who created a new figure-based RPG. The system is called Rezolution. It was inspired partly by BR. I'm sure it can be adapted as well.
The website is here: http://www.aberrantgames.com/rez/game.php |
