I think that an easier way to get this project started would be to keep the bottle and labels as two seperate projects.
It seems from watching O.B s whiskey bottle project that the labels were a major job but one that was needed because they give so much to the overall look, with this new bottle, to me, its all about the bottle and cap.
This may be wrong but wouldnt any labels be "fantasy" labels anyway? Perhaps after the bottle is done, people could submit designs to be judged by some senior forum members and take it from there. This would allow anyone who had the nouce, hint, to just concentrate on one complex component and those lucky enough, to get their bottles earlier. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

BTW, did you know that TSINGTAO means GREEN ISLAND ?
the company was first established in 1903 in the harbor of Tsingtao city by Germans during colonial times... nowadays, it's the world's topseller beer company with more than 25 millions liters produced every year !
In this case too BR was ahead of it's time, making it one of the main drinks of the year 2019... _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |

I went today into local supermarket and for my suprise there was a man with Tsing Tao boxes. Asked could I buy one of these bottles and got it!
Not a BR Tsing Tao bottle, but beer anyways. Wondering could the possible label honor the Tsing Tao beer label? Green color perhaps and Tsing Tao logo?

My father used to drink Tsing Tao beer all the time when he was younger. Nowadays I hardly see it anymore but 10 to 15 years back there'd be Tsing Tao bottles on almost every table in eateries everywhere... |

Here is the only change I have made to one of my DeCzar Bottles.
The seal should be manila colored to match the screen used that
was seen in one shot briefly but the gold matches the cap and
really does look better and contains a stylized T for Tsing-Tao.
All I need now is a print on a transparency for the front label and some black "Fire-Letters" to shrink around the top...and then done!
I may also wrap the bottle up in the same type of tissue paper the woman used at the street vendor when Deckard purchased it.

Just wanted to bring this topic back into the light after just seeing a De Czar go for a cool $420.00 on ebay.
If the lucky buyer is from this community, perhaps they would be interested in making their bottle available to have a mold produced.
I have no idea how difficult, expensive or dangerous to the original this process is but i am assuming that once the mold is made, then it is just a matter of finding the cheapest, most reliable producer, they could be anywhere in the world, this forum is well represented across the globe. I will start checking around whats available here anyway.
Just throwin it out there. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

I don't want to sound like I'm gloating here but I think this is important
to show how deals can still be had especially from those who
apparently have NO IDEA what they have or how to advertise it.
I recently won this on E-Bay for a little more than $100.00.
It was advertised as:
THE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN COURT EMBBOSSED VODKA BOTTLE
I think the owner had no idea it was related to Blade-Runner
and had no idea as to it's status as a remake due to the neck label being gone...
that's the part that says "Replica of the Pre-Russian Revolution Smirnoff Bottle
as authenticated by Christie's of London".
I got the destinct impression the seller thought he had an original Pre-Revolutionary bottle...
though he seemed happy with the final total price!
Deals are out there to be had, I think we all have to try to think out-side our own pre-set perameter's a little bit more.
I have to be completely honest though and say I really lucked out with this bottle and that it's the first one I have seen
that went for anything under $300.00. |

Nice One O.B,
How difficult and expensive do you think it would be to have a mold produced of a bottle of that type? _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

I would highly recomend you stear clear of China...seriously.
The price can lure you in because it sounds too good to be true, guess why? IT IS!!!
I can hook you up with a fellow in Italy.
Think about it for a second...they have been doing glass for a few hundred years(they also produced the CIBI)
The fellow I spoke with was great, and usually responded to my e-mails like twice a day.
His prices were twice as much for half the run total BUT...
what would the BR Whiskey Bottle have been like from the Italians? I'll probably never know.
PM me for the contact info if you are interested.
I can't say for certain but I'm guessing that if you had a bottle to supply that you want copied,
the whole process would be simplified a great deal. |
