I didn't really clean it too well either before slapping on the labels, a few came back up, but once I wiped the area down with a little alcohol the labels stuck just fine. _________________

My Bottle came in today! Got a USPS notice on my door and went to the post office. The lady that retrieved my package plopped the box onto the counter and my eyes just near popped out of my sockets. I gave her a look of dread then anger, gently picked up my package and shook it gently to listen for any broken glass pieces. I didn't hear anything wrong and discerned that it was well packaged. I walked out of the post office and muttered the "B" word under my breath.
Got home and opened it up. Everything was fine and dandy.
Thank you OB for a beautiful JW Bottle! Thanks to the folks who contributed to this project's success. Thank you for the t-shirt, matches and shot glasses. I wasn't expecting that. Awesome!
As soon as I get it cleaned up and stickered, I'm gonna fill it with some JW and drink one to OB! Cheers!

I have been somewhat scarce as of late on the forum, as I work in the IT department of a school district and summer is when we get the majority of our big projects done; I've been working 10's and getting a 4-day weekend ever other week, so I've either been getting home later than normal and feeling beat after putting in a 10 hour shift, or I've been out of town on the long weekends. Either way, I haven't been on here much for the past couple of months.
I know we've all been eagerly awaiting the shipment of the BRWB, and for quite some time I like many of you have been checking the website daily for updates and news; when was it going to ship; what's going on; I want it NOW!!
Then after I got busy with work, I calmed down and knew that things were in good hands, that I'd get my bottle when Paul got things worked out and I had pretty much settled into the mental state of "It will get here when it gets here...quit worrying about it."
Then on Thursday 8/21 I came home from work and had a slip from the Post Office that they had attempted to deliver a package but didn't leave it on my porch, and that I could pick it up from them the following morning... and I thought to myself, "Huh... I've bought a couple things off of eBay recently, but I know they most likely haven't even shipped yet; I wonder what it could be." and then I thought - Ohhh.... YES, it's got to be the bottle!"
So yesterday I took off early from work so I could go the Post Office near my house to pick up the package... and sure enough, there it was, stamped all over with the word Fragile and I knew that it had to be it. The postal worker explained to me that anything that is insured has to be signed for... and I told him that this was one package that I definately would NOT want left on my doorstep....
When I opened the box I was delighted with all the extras.... I actually unwrapped all the goodies before I ever unwrapped the bottle itself... I took my time and savored the moment... and when I finally unwrapped the bottle, I was majorly impressed: this thing is a work of art! At first I was a little critical of some of the minor flaws in the bottle, but then I realized that this is what makes these truly unique - no two are exactly alike. These are truly one of a kind, and I really have to thank Paul for going so above and beyond that I think he's going to probably going to get sick of all these accolades. Dude, you deserve them though.
The labels are awesome!! They are also unforgiving... once they get a bit of a bite on the glass, they don't let go... I think the placement on the main label on my bottle is at an ever-so-slightly steeper angle than a lot of the pics I've seen of others, but I still think it looks great! The labels just scream QUALITY!
I did see on one of the other threads questions about affixing the ribbon and the wax seal... personally I used rubber cement... I glued the ribbon to itself then affixed the seal. The advantage of this is it allowed me a fair amount of time to position the ribbon and seal and if I decide I don't like my work, I can always peel it apart and start over without causing any damage...
One thing I did do differently with my bottle though is I made a stopper for it instead of a cap. I do have a bottle of Finlandia Vodka that I can make the cap from, but I haven't affixed the label to that as of yet. I took the cap from a bottle of Fris Vodka and epoxied a stopper from a bottle of scotch into it. It had a wooden top and a synthetic "cork" and fit just about perfectly into the Fris cap. The stopper itself fits perfectly into the bottle and I think it looks pretty sharp. Altough it is shorter than the Finlandia cap, and a bit wider, I like the fact that it appears to be actually made of metal rather than chromed plastic. And there's just something to be said about the sound of a stopper being removed from a bottle...
So here's a pic for you what my bottle looks like with the stopper, along with many of the other BR props and items I've collected so far...
Thanks again ever so much Paul! _________________ Fiery the angles fell, deep thunder rolled around their shores, burning with the fires of Orc. |

Here's a quickie. I've got another setup planned with a little better detail and lighting. I just couldn't wait. So much so, I forgot to put the seal and ribbon on. Doh!
Paul, a BIG Thank you!

Just to let everyone know...
I am out of shot-glasses and have no plans (or money) to purchase anymore.
The last two are going to Terje Mork of Finland as I promised him two way back
before I even came up with the idea to include them with each bottle.
Each bottle will still come with a BR T-Shirt and Snake Pit Matches however! |

This is from post#4 of this very thread:
| Quote: | according to an interview with Linda De-Scenna on Blade Zone it was Terry Lewis that was the propmaster.
Supposedly Gary W. talked to him about it, but hasn't said anything about it. |
I just spoke with Gary W. and here is what he said:
| Quote: | | Not true. I have never talked to Terry though Bryan Ebenhoch might have... |
I'm going to continue to talk to Gary about this and see if I can't
pick his brain a bit more on the origin of the BR Whiskey Bottle
(or plastic container as the case may be...) |

I was going by his Linda DeScenna interview...
| Quote: | LD: Have you talked to Terry Lewis?
GW: No I haven’t.
LD: Yes he was the Propmaster.
GW: Okay that’s another person for me to track down and interview. |
I guess he never got around to it, or wasn't able to. I am kind of surprised because he talked a bit about tracking down the bottle. I figured he or Bryan would have done it sooner or later. Of course Bryan may have found it. He is pretty private compared to Gary.
