Not too long after BR was released, I acquired this from Japan. The pic shows both sides of the card and the sleeve it came in.
One side of the card is gray, the other black. Please note the two notches. Over the years I have asked about this, can't recall if I ever got a definitive answer.
Any ideas??
I think someone thought it might be an actual telephone credit card in Japan. I can't decipher the text, so I can't confirm. Certainly is a possibility. |

There were several calling cards made in Japan with Blade Runner artwork on them. This was one of them. They were similar to pre-payed calling cards here today, but people also collected these. I have seen art for at least one or two other ones, but this one is by far the coolest one. Thanks for the Pic on this. The only other Pic I have of this one I have is very small scanned from a Japanese publication.

Also, as to the punched holes, the back of the card asys each punch represents a call made with the card. 2 punches=2 calls. I don't know how you'd figure out how much $ is left on the card though.... |
