Very good stuff! But I would change the colour of the carpet if I were you

Alright Joburg... Is this carpet better? Wink

here is a plan view, compared to the original (from page one of this thread...):

And if you know how to do the cross-eyed 3D thing, enjoy:

Great job on the landing gear for sure (nice to have a "clean" version from the original drawing)...and yes, I like the carpet and the decor better

Boy the new shoes make the rest of my Nostromo look shabby by comparison! Sad I really need to clean the thing up!

I thought I had seen the back wall of the original engine room somewhere else...

I knew that they had reused the towers as engines, but it's cool to see they were able to use more

the size of these models just blows me away.... Shocked Shocked

anyway, I think this will be my next project:

this is the one that's on my current Nostromo, but I want to remake it with more details.

Excellent posts, guys... but please don't forget to talk about MU-TH-UR's room chair... the most important rotative chair in that ship...

Fred

Hey Fred, I've been wanting to do this, but didn't have many refs for it.

then I noticed these over at Remington-rand http://www.remington-rand.com/alien/:

for some reason "Computer Room Console" didn't click with me...

Keep an eye out for MU-TH-UR....

OH MY !!!

Shocked

Graham, where the hell did you find those pics ???

Steve, those bluerpints you're talking about are great, alas they're sold out...

I've contacted this guy last year but everything was already gone, excepted for the Nostromo bridge and Narcissus plans...

He later sold the Notromo bridge on eBay and it's now part of a collection on yourprops.com...

OK Steve, back to the topic and your wonderful 3D renderings...

Can't wait to meet MU-TH-UR in Sketchup format... Please don't forget your access key to that part of the ship !

hhmmm what are your thoughts on this...

Are those panels in the front intended to be key receptacles? or were lights or buttons there? (or were they just holes?)

Currently in the middle of a Nostromo rebuild - I have tried to insert my bridge into the model the front angles are a little off but not as bad as I first thought ( I will probable adjust the angle of the set to make it fit the model.)

I don't think so Steve, since the key stays plugged in the access corridor when Dallas enters MU-TH-UR's room...
