Hi,
Can any one help me with one of these, I want it for a Coyle kit, as the provided spring feels real sloppy.

ironfist -Karl was helping me aquire them this time last year but he seems to have disappeared. Sad

I really want to finish this build but I can't move past the trigger pull feel. Confused

Thx
Bob

Note I use weak springs because a real spring will over load the pewter parts and tear up the hammer and trigger system.

It is only a model.

I guessed that was the logic Rich, I might have to try and find a happy medium.

You might be able to find a stronger spring that provides the feel you want at McMaster-Carr. They have a website. Pay close attention to the dimensions and thickness of the spring.

As Rich says, pewter will not hold up like steel.

I tried harder springs and sooner than later things started to hang up and jam. Or brake.

Do so at your own risk.

You would have to buy from Charter Arms a trigger, trigger spring, trigger sleeves, trigger pin, hammer, hammer lever, hammer spring, spring cup, hammer pin, hammer spring rod, hammer spring, hammer spring bar.

Then cut the hammer spar, and grind down the hammer.

Lastly as there is some minor size changes in castings: these parts may not fit or work in the model casting.

And if it all fits and works then you will be stressing the pewter frame and things may ware...

You would be better off hunting down and buying a real bulldog pistol and putting it in.

Of course that is its own can of worms.

Rich

PS Please consider my model like the VW Bug, I made changes as I found problems and things that NEEDED change, and that I have done as well as I could. The hammer spring was one that from feed back and returns for repairs I ended up with one that would last.
