They have brought out several M2019 versions, and brought out the metal gear, but what will they do next? Is it likely they will bring out another blaster, or metal some of the other resin parts do? Or does it just end with what they are doing do you think?
There are a lot of people with Blasters out there, some more lucky than others with what they own, but i am guessing there is still a pretty big market for this gun, so does the future continue? _________________ He can breath okay, as long as no one unplugs him |

Good question and I'm sure others in here will have better ideas or thoughts than me...yes, I still do not own the BR gun in any of its forms/manufacturers
As for the M2019 they have improved over the years and hopefully they'll continue on that path with new stuff, maybe à la Tome...with a kit. |

Did you tell them that "they need to tap the holes in the plastic.
So they'll stop stripping out so easy. And making the gun seem to
be a big POS"
My bad...
But hell, I offered to help. _________________ Que la Force soit avec toi |

They seem to be incognito, but at one time way back they did have some spokes people. I got emails on my old yahoo account which I haven't checked in a while, saying they were on here, and had issues with what we said, but also that the new additional pieces were in direct response to our criticisms. I think one of the reason they stay under the radar is that they are notorious recasters, but also may have/had prominent accounts on the RPF. You can ask Matsuo about their recasting. No proof of who they are too, but I had conversations back when I was researching the gun history, and a few people on the RPF seemed to have some inside information. Never got too far though finding the truth, but some people know for sure. One thing I was told for certain is that they are not directly associated with Monsters in Motion, but they do have an arrangement to sell their stuff. Honestly though I am tempted to get the upgrade parts, just because they did what we asked them without creating an entire new gun. I have a feeling though they have a back stock of the original gun. Not sure if they lost their shirts on it, but it does seem the gun keeps selling and is probably still the best option for a cosplay gun you don't care about banging around, except maybe the toy versions.

I do like the Off-World MFG model 2019 BRU special, which is mostly resin, but does have a nice colour and feel about it, so would probably get one of those if they issued them, but the video iBobaFettx highlighted their weaknesses.
I have liked the upgraded metal bits they did, and i am pleased i bought them, since it did take the Blaster out of toy status, but if you looked at the original video promotion they did on Youtube, you would honestly believe that the Off-World is the best thing out there. It certainly sold me into buying one, but that was before the days i discovered this great (i mean excellent) website.
I wont go over familiar territory, since some members on here have done some great reviews, but as per my photos of my upgraded blaster, i am pleased with what Off-World did, plus with a little help from another ebay seller who i got my Upper Receiver from.
If Off-World did bring out another blaster, i would happily pay out £300-400 UK pounds, but it would have to be something that addressed all its weaknesses highlighted by people on here, and see their last model as a prototype to something special. I suppose my biggest issue is the plastic holder that you insert the LED box into. Its just too flimsy.
Show me a person who has left their Off-World exactly as they bought it...not many i am sure... that tells you something about its design, but still i have grown to love it, but only now i have added what i have to it. _________________ He can breath okay, as long as no one unplugs him |

I agree! The Off World is very flimsy and feels like a toy...which is why most folks do customize them...I added real .38 Bulldog parts to mine and now it feels much heavier and more real!!! If they would only just stop with the plastic and go ALL METAL...it would make their pieces worth a lot more and they would feel more realistic as well ..fingers crossed I guess??? |
