|
|
Hey everybody! Not too big a deal and I'm sure that some of you have thought of this idea already but, I just purchased a .38 caliber bore sight round for my Off World which adds some weight and is a cool addition to the blaster. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is a round that goes in the chamber that has a laser sight in it to help you align your sights on a pistol. it puts a red laser dot where you aim the weapon...it's kindaa fun and i tought that you all might dig the idea..I'll try to add somephotos of mine both out of the chamber and in action for you all tomorrow...til then, Cheers! |

Here you go! A few shots of how this item works! I purchased a .38 caliber found and it fits like a glove! Enjoy!
My next project is going to be trying to put the laser mounting into the fight rod do it is directing the beam....we'll see how that works out when I get the parts!?!?
Hope these give everyone a decent idea of what the round does..only minus is there's no on/off switch for the bullet so you have to take the battery out when you're not using it! A lot of fun to use at night in the dark...cheers! |

Yeah, I figured that once some folks saw this in action they wold be all over it! I had forgotten about Bore Sighter rounds until my buddy suggested them to me!!! If they just had an on/off switch that was easy to hit they would be EPIC!!!! Maybe someone can figure out a mod on them and make it happen? OZ I still want metal parts from you but just need to save the $$$...I'm a musician and don't make a lot...SOOn though, SOON! |

Yeah, me too!!! I found a spot on Ebay that sells just the laser part without the whole housing. It seems small enough to fit into the sight rod but I'm not 100% sure so I have to bite the bullet and buy it to try it?! I will keep everyone posted and post pictures now that I know how!!! (Thanks Andy!) |

So....the green laser isn't going to fit in the plastic sight rod without breaking it!? So I am going to try to find a metal one someplace and see shat I can do there but it seems that the laser I have is too large in size to work in the rod!?! I'm now thinking of trying to find a way to put an on/off switch on the bore sight round so I can turn it off without removing the batteries every time!!! I will let you all know what I come up with and post pictures when I do mods! Cheers!!! |

Dang...I was thinking that would be a cheep cool way to add a laser sight to a real pistol, point it: place the dot, and then pull the trigger and it cycles to the next round and bang you hit the target, if you can keep it steady.
Even more as a deterrent, a laser dot can really back a bad guy off, and is worth one less round...
But as you point out, it is on or off all the time...

I'm considering trying to run a small on off switch on the back of the round ...like a click switch or something of that nature so you can turn the found on then off with your them or finger while its in the chamber!?! We'll see what I can come up with?...
PS...Blade Runner is on Encore Movie Channel right now!!!
....Yes, I'm watching it! |
