Thanks for the kind words! I made up a bluing guide for anyone who is interested. I had trouble getting an even finish and reached out for help over on the RPF. Via PhasePistol I was able to get some hints from Nobu-san himself that set me off on the right track. After a lot of trial and error I arrived at a technique that has worked consistently. I used Perma Blue, but there is an RPF member trying the same technique with Aluminum Black and he says it works as well.
The guide is long and has no photos, so I'm hesitant to post it, but I'm happy to send it in a PM or email to anyone who wants it.
