I saw somebody snagged one of these recently. Is anybody still making them? I'm slowly acquiring my "ultimate build" parts and I would like to use steel so that I can properly hot blue the sight rod. Hit me up if you have any leads!

I was seeking one of these as well, however, no one responded. Thus, I (with much assistance from another member here) am having designed a sight rod for 3D printing in steel.
I'll PM you more info when I have something more to show you.

Someone needs to do sight rods and butt caps in machined steel. |

I would be down for both of those. Keep me posted, and let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Would the fine knurling survive 3D printing? I would think it would be much much better to have them machined. |

Machined is definitely the preference, however I have a specific requirement for the 3D printed one. Let me look around for some machinists...maybe I can get a few quotations.
As for the knurling, I'm not positive about how the 3D printing will handle it. I'll have some test prints made up for sure.
How many people do you guys think would be interested in machined steel sight rods (and butt caps possibly)? |

Well I know I'd buy a few to set aside for any future builds I might want to upgrade.
It would also be cool to have a steel receiver end plug too. |

I'm reaching out to a machinist today. Will hopefully have a ballpark figure in a couple days. |

IF you can find them, the Steyr part is only $34.00. You have to buy the SHORT model and every place I check has Medium and Long but no short. I reached out to a special order gun parts supplier. I will post if I get lucky.
The official nomenclature is: SHORT Breech Bolt Plug for a Steyr SL |

I'll also look for those as I believe I may have a non-US supplier. Veektohr and eltee, are you referring to the part that attached to the bolt at the rear of the receiver, or the concentric circle part at the front that goes above the barrel on the finished blaster? I'd love to get that part in steel (the second one mentioned). |

I was actually trying to describe the plug with concentric rings at the other end of the receiver, however having a source for the bolt plugs would be great in the event I stumble upon a spare receiver. Gun Parts is eternally sold out. |
