Even if I'm not too much into action-figures, I've already ordered those on eBay...
For more info (and photos), go check here :

They were based on a Jean "Moebius" Giraud design... I've always loved those space suits !!!

Save some bucks for the near future, I think they plan to release the WHOLE crew, since the title of this collection seems to be "ALIEN - the nostromo crew"...
I'd really like to have a Brett figure, always liked his clothes (especially his Hawaïan shirt, so odd in this kind of industrial nightmare) and because of Harry Dean Stanton himself, of course... This guy is great ! (remember Wim Wender's "Paris, Texas" !!!) _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |

Got my figures today, they're GORGEOUS, really !!! (although not 100% screen-accurate...)
The only probelm with Kane's figure is that you're expecting a good John Hurt lifelike figure... and you finaly get a kind of "Freddy Mercury guy" instead...
Gosh ! I think I'm going to name it "Kenny Mercury"... See by yourself !

Hmmm maybe Hurt wouldn't let them use his likeness. They can certainly be accurate when they want to.You could always use the facehugger head instead. |

They are out already!? Am I missing something? Who is the moustache dude?
Just read that John Hurt didn't give consent to use his likeness.
WTF???? |

Your figures are sublime Fred, i would lose hours staring at them.
Harry Dean is the man, was lucky enough to see him and the band at
the now demolished Continental Club here in Melbourne. He plays Tex-Mex music in a very relaxed style, and had a very famous guitarist/songwriter with him, perhaps James Burton (Elvis), cant remember, anyway, i kept the shirt.............

Gaff ! Of course ! I understand now why I've posted this picture here !

You're probably right regarding the likeness issue with Hurt... Dallas looks almost convincing by comparison. (BTW, I can't put the facehugger on Kane's face... since it wears a mustache, too !)
(I just hope they won't add a mustache to the whole Nostromo crew they plan to produce...)

Don't know if they're already available in the US... I've ordered mines many weeks ago on pre-order from abc-express, a very reliable Hong Kong retailer.
I avoid Sideshow every time I can because they ship everything by FEDEX and then you must pay high custom rights to get your stuff... (I live in Europe)

You're right, Tim !
I remember him in Wim Wender's PARIS, TEXAS... What a great movie this was at that time !
You're very lucky to have seen him in flesh & bones... Wow ! _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |

I preordered months ago, too, from a dealer here in Japan. No figures yet...
I'd guess that, by preordering directly from a dealer in Hong Kong, you managed to get some of the first of these to be shipped internationally. Good going, SKIN JOB 66!

I think steevy was referring to the extra helmet that comes with Kane -- the helmet with the damaged visor and the facehugger molded in.
Please tell me that Hot Toys DID include that helmet, as continues to be pictured in the prototype pics on their site.
Thanks, Pilot. _________________ "Your old titles mean nothing here... Captain!" |

The Hong Kong guys are very professional, each time I've ordered from them I was 100% satisfied... but didn't realized I would be one of the first to get these figures ! (actualy, they first planned to send them by August, but since I wasn't home I asked for a September delivery instead)
I was just joking when refering to a face-hugger with a mustache... Of course, the helmet you're talking about IS INCLUDED in the Kane box !

The cheapest Buy It Now price I can currently find on Yahoo! Japan is JPY 14,970 (US $143.49 at today's exchange rate); I also found an auction starting at JPY 12,800 with no bids yet and only a few hours to go.
I just checked my records and found that I preordered Dallas and Kane for JPY 14,970 each back in March.
Here are some shots of the Dallas box art. Sorry about the cropping; I adapted these from found photos on the Web.
Thanks, Pilot. _________________ "Your old titles mean nothing here... Captain!" |

I've checked my records, too... I bought each figure 133,50USD. The whole price for both figures (including shipping to France) was 330,40USD. _________________ THE FUTURE IS A THING OF THE PAST |
