Hi all I'm Ed from the good old U of K
I go by the same screen name on theRPF.
A drunken night on ebay and Alen's (Wizard of flight) Mando helmet plans got me into film props quite some time ago. I was on the RPF and some of the 501st forums by Johno years ago but life took over, so years late, a move back to my local ish area and a big pay cut as I chose quality of life over money and found I had time to build. I dabbled with a cheap cheap 3D printer I thought this could give me space fillers until I got the props I wanted, Again a few years later and lots of printed SWars stuff on shelves I decided I needed a bit of variety so got a Little Dredd shelf on the go and wanted more of this great Sci Fi world that existed outside of SWars. that's when I saw Harrison Ford had more than One greate gun in film so I thought why not add Indy and Deckard to the gun props. As most know theres a good enough 3D model out there for a dark room when you squint at 50m, That's where it sat for about a year until I discovered I was crap with a grinder and cut my toe off .... This was great, it gave me even more time to fiddle with props so after spending money on a Cap shield to a Pulse rifle my old Det Special caught my eye, Its been ripped apart and re painted had a display box added taken apart re painted had a homebrew metal barrel added and ready for the next heavy replacement part. But between this gun and helping Chicken on thingiverse with more iterations of his K blaster than have seen daylight it's helped me through a rough couple of months. But after all the glasses and ID/Room cards I still love this gun so its time to add to it till I take the plunge on a Tome once I can get it past the wife radar.
Anyhoo that's enough of my waffle
Take care
Ed |

Welcome Ed...and, as you know, to get pass the wife's radar is much more difficult and riddle with the possibilities of you being hit by her FLACK than actually building props |

Hi everbody,
I am new to the Forum here, but some of you may recognize me from Club-Obi-Wan (COW) or the TheRPF.
My name is Ralf and I am from germany. The Indy movies lead me the way to prop replicating and collecting. I am
trying to keep a good balance of "making" and "buying" props arround the movies I love... such as Indiana Jones, StarWars,
National Treasure and you bet... BladeRunner and BR 2049 now
Never been an obsessiv fan of the first BladeRunner but the 2017 release of BR 2049 gave me the push to registere here as well
Working on some props and may ask and share some things here at Propsummit as well...
Looking forward to some interessting and open "Prop-Discussions"

Hi everyone !
I'm Nicolas a french guy currently living in the beautifull Canada.
I'm a long time lurker and I decided to register after ordering my tomenosuke stunt and the goldberg art snubnose.
My wife is out of the country for at least one more month because of her work so I also ordered the Tomenosuke kit, thanks to Mune-san for this ! It will be too late when she will be discovering this .
Also my english is sometimes a bit weird because it's not my homegrown language, sorry for this. Even if I'll try to avoid mistakes sometimes I may sound like yoda.
Anyways I'm happy to be here with you ! |

Hello everyone, I'm Frank from California. I've lurked here for a long time, posted only once before about a replica K coat I purchased. I don't have much to contribute but have learned so much from reading everyone's posts here. Currently I'm working on a Deckard trench coat project and will ask the group some design questions in the near future. It's nice to meet you all (finally)! |

Hi! I'm Daniel and I'm a Libra. I enjoy long walks in the smog and tending to my electric sheep. I eat regularly at the White Dragon in Sector 5. Great noodles. Sometimes I pick pieces off the food on the plates of taxi drivers next to me to annoy them. Nothing major. Just fish scales. I just like their reactions. With me it's all about reactions and how quickly they happen so I guess you could say that reaction time is a factor. For some reason I rub my chopsticks together before using them. I think it's cool but the Japanese man behind the counter always tells me that nobody in japan does that really. (I think.) I speak terrible Japanese.
BACK TO REALITY:
My name IS Daniel I live in the Pacific Northwest. Used to live in Seattle but keep getting driven further North as the Seattle I loved is replaced by a less affordable version. I cannot afford Seattle and still collect/make Blade Runner related things so I think I made the right decision. I've actually been a member for a while and have lurked from time to time but just noticed this introduction thread so here I am in all my geeky glory! I go by "s7ereo" on... pretty much everything digitally. It's an amalgam of stereomaster7. I used to do experimental music under that name so why not? It was the '90s. I survived somehow an here I am. Once I can afford a workshop I will be producing many things. Some of them possibly good. I have a degree in Art from the University of Washington and I'm handy with model making, molding, sculpting, design and painting. My wife is sick of me modifying things because there were a few "miscalculations "early on in our relationship resulting in non-functional (yet beautiful in my opinion) things of all sorts.
Well. That was long. If you're still with me I'm happy to be here and finally introduce myself! |
